Q1. What MERCUSYS product will support EasyMesh?

A. MERCUSYS Wi-Fi Router, Range Extender and 5G/4G Router are planned to support EasyMesh.

Q2. Can I use MERCUSYS EasyMesh products together with MERCUSYS Halo Mesh products?

A. No. Wi-Fi EasyMesh and Halo Mesh are two different mesh Wi-Fi solutions provided by MERCUSYS.

Q3. Can I use MERCUSYS EasyMesh devices with EasyMesh products from different manufacturers or companies? Are they compatible?

A. Theoretically, MERCUSYS EasyMesh will work with any EasyMesh-certified products due to the standardized EasyMesh protocol. However, EasyMesh networking methods and detailed features can vary based on the manufacturers, we highly recommend using MERCUSYS EasyMesh products together to ensure the best performance and full compatibility.

 

Q4. Will EasyMesh support Ethernet Backhaul?

A. EasyMesh routers or extenders are planned to support Ethernet Backhaul and most of the EasyMesh routers (e.g., MR30G,MR50G,MR60X, MR70X, MR80X, MR25BE, MR37BE) have already supported it via the firmware upgrade.

Q5. Which MERCUSYS product can work on EasyMesh under AP mode?

A. For EasyMesh Router, it is planned to support EasyMesh under AP mode. some models (e.g., MR37BE, MR50G) have already supported it via firmware upgrade. Please keep an eye on the official website and the router's online updates for firmware updates when the new features are available.

For EasyMesh Range Extender, it will not support EasyMesh When working in AP mode.

 

Q6. Does MERCUSYS EasyMesh system support syncing Guest settings across the main router and satellite nodes?

A. Currently, the MERCUSYS EasyMesh Router does not synchronize the Guest network settings across the main router and the connected satellite nodes. The EasyMesh satellite nodes will only sync the main wireless network settings.

 

Q7. If I want to add more than one MERCUSYS satellite devices to the existing EasyMesh system, can I press the WPS button on the additional satellite units and existing satellite units separately to finish the process?

A. No, we must press the WPS button on the main router and satellite devices separately to establish an EasyMesh network.

 

Q8. Can I configure the EasyMesh network with MERCUSYS App?

A. Currently no. Please keep an eye on the official website and the router’s online updates for firmware updates when the new features are available.

 

Q9. How to add the old router into EasyMesh?

A. We need to upgrade the Router to the firmware which supports EasyMesh, then reset it to get it back to factory mode, then we can add this router to other main EasyMesh routers.

Q10. Can I use my own router which doesn't support EasyMesh as the main router?

A. No, for now, we will still need the main router to support EasyMesh at least, then it will help handle and decide when and how we should connect and roam in our EasyMesh network.

 

Q11. What can I do if I fail to configure the EasyMesh Network?
